Senior Dance Recital

Choreographic and performance projects by senior dance majors as presented by Ohio University’s School of Dance.

School of Dance seniors take their creations to the stage. This project showcases four years of the students’ progress. The dances have been created completely by senior dance students as part of their capstone project. The performances are at 7 and 9 p.m.  Friday and Saturday at the Shirley Wimmer Dance Theatre in Putnam Hall.

The concert features choreographic works, comprising several solo pieces as well as ensemble pieces, and encompasses a wide range choreography from the lighthearted and comical to the dark and sinister.

A few works even feature the use of props and live accompaniment. Each performance will strike a different chord with audiences as they all tell a specific story the choreographer molded into dance performance.
